A Chartered Accountant and Business Advisory firm, based in Australia is currently seeking an External Auditor to join their team in a fully remote, Independent Contractor capacity. Applicants should be detail orientated, with strong organisational skills and ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Please note: This is an independent contract, and the successful candidate would be required to submit an invoice monthly to the company and be responsible for their own tax etc.  The company is seeking a long-term relationship with the candidate and although they will be hired as a contractor, they will enjoy the same benefits as their permanent staff.

Minimum Requirements:
Suitably qualified with completed articles
External audit experience
Knowledge of external auditing practices
Knowledge of accounting standards including IFRS
Able to work independently, in a remote capacity
Sound judgement and decision-making ability
Excellent English communication skills
Proficient in CaseWare preferred
Setup to work from home
Attend weekly online team meetings

Preferable but not required:
Previous experience auditing Australian companies

Duties and Responsibilities: 
Planning of audits
Produce reports highlighting any issues and potential solutions
Audit financial statements and assess accounts for accuracy and regulatory compliance
Inspect systems and controls
Assess risk management tactics
Report systematic errors or fraud indicators
