Remote – South Africa | UK Working Hours, Monday to Friday | R35,000 – R45,000 per month

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a London-based startup founded in 2024 that helps enterprises save 30% on software contracts. The business has grown to a team of 25+ without external funding and has more than $3 billion in software spend under management.

The business works within enterprise software procurement and is building a global network of former senior software sales professionals with specialist knowledge across software vendors, products, pricing, licensing and commercial negotiations.

THE ROLE: SENIOR TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST

The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for growing the vendor expert network by identifying, engaging, interviewing and onboarding former senior software sales professionals from around the world.

This is a sourcing-heavy role rather than traditional volume recruitment. You will approach experienced and often in-demand professionals, assess their depth of vendor and software sales knowledge, and determine their suitability for the expert network.

You will report directly to the co-founders and work alongside the Head of Service Delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and execute targeted sourcing strategies across LinkedIn, alumni networks, industry communities and referrals.

• Source former Account Executives, Sales Directors, Regional VPs, Deal Desk and Pricing Leads, and professionals in similar roles from enterprise software vendors.

• Map the vendor landscape across vendors, product lines, regions and deal types, identifying gaps and prioritising sourcing accordingly.

• Run personalised outreach campaigns designed to engage experienced senior professionals and follow up consistently.

• Conduct structured interviews to assess candidates’ real-world experience, including deal sizes, licensing and pricing models, negotiation tactics, discounting practices and renewal dynamics.

• Verify candidates’ employment history and seniority.

• Assess communication skills and overall fit and credibility.

• Flag potential conflicts of interest or restrictive covenant concerns for review.

• Guide successful candidates through independent contractor agreements and onboarding.

• Maintain accurate candidate records within the internal expert database.

• Report on pipeline health, conversion rates and time-to-onboard.

• Share recruitment and pipeline insights with the wider team.

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with experts and referrers.

• Work to weekly sourcing and interview targets.

• Manage a high volume of candidate conversations across multiple time zones, primarily the US, UK and Europe.

ABOUT YOU

• 2–5 years’ experience in talent acquisition, executive search, expert network recruitment or a similar sourcing-heavy role.

• Software recruitment experience is essential, with experience recruiting within B2B SaaS and enterprise software sales.

• Strong track record in talent acquisition and sourcing.

• Experience recruiting and engaging executive-level and senior professionals.

• Strong understanding of the software industry and how software sales organisations are structured, including AE, RVP, CSM, Deal Desk and Channel functions.

• Understanding of vendor experts within software sales and recruitment.

• Strong Boolean search and LinkedIn sourcing skills.

• Comfortable working to weekly sourcing and interview targets.

• Able to confidently interview senior professionals, probe beyond the CV and identify genuine expertise.

• Excellent written and spoken English with a warm and persuasive outreach style.

• Organised and self-directed, with the ability to manage a high volume of conversations across different time zones.

• Sound judgement regarding confidentiality and the responsible handling of personal information in line with GDPR and other relevant regulations.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience working within an expert network, including sourcing for consulting or investment research clients.

• Exposure to software procurement, licensing or pricing.
