Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

Overview

Our client, based in Germiston, is seeking a professional, well-presented, and organised Receptionist to join their head office team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk, handling general administration, supporting the sales administration function, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office.

Key Responsibilities

Answer and manage the company switchboard professionally.
Welcome, assist, and direct clients and visitors.
Take accurate telephone messages and forward them to the relevant staff members.
Arrange courier collections and deliveries.
Manage incoming and outgoing post and packages.
Perform general reception, secretarial, filing, and administrative duties.
Assist the sales department with administrative tasks.
Assist with quotations and invoicing when required.
Capture and process invoices on the company's ERP system.
Update and maintain Excel spreadsheets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Ensure visitors are welcomed professionally and refreshments are arranged when required.
Maintain a neat, organised, and professional reception area.
Carry out additional administrative duties as reasonably required.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric).
A Secretarial or Administrative qualification will be advantageous.
Previous experience in a Receptionist, Front Desk, or Administrative role.
Computer literate with proficiency in:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills.
Eager to learn with a positive attitude.
Reliable transport to and from work.
