A well-established company based in Durban requires a Quality Supervisor from the automotive sector to join their team

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible to Lead and Supervise the Quality Department Team and maintain an effective QualityManagement System, including Process Performance and Controls within the Manufacturing Operations. Ensure the achievement of customer requirements and Headquarter direction and ensure continuous improvements of Quality Management Systems.

Managing and overseeing all quality aspects within the company to improve customer satisfaction by ensuring that all products conforms to the applicable approved standards and agreed specifications
Be a champion to drive the implementation and monitoring of the IATF within the entire company and make recommendations.
Managing and driving the combined Quality Assurance and Quality Control team, investigate for any non-conformances to standards and make crucial decisions.
Delegate duties to the team and follow up if the duties were executed and provide reports to the management.
Ensure that Working Instructions are updated and reflects latest revision.
Updating all essential certifications and ISO systems to avoid disruptions in production and train staff quality processes and procedures when required. Conduct full orientation / induction of new employees and annual re-induction.
Ensure that all measuring equipment are properly calibrated as per requirements.
Ensure that Continuous Improvements are properly documented and implemented.
Customer complaints are investigated, and feedback given within in the agreed time frame.
Ensure all function listed on job descriptions for your subordinates are in line with the requirements of the business and are fully executed.
Ensure Control Plan and PFMEA reviews are conducted timeously and remain in a state of update.
