Production Supervisor (Automotive Manufacturing)

SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to lead a high-volume automotive manufacturing operation and drive production, quality, safety and team performance.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily production plans and ensure shift targets are achieved.
• Allocate operators across cutting, welding, bending, polishing and assembly.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and coordinate preventative maintenance.
• Ensure products meet OEM quality standards and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Conduct inspections, investigate defects and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain production, yield and stock usage records.
• Enforce SHE, PPE and machine safety standards.
• Train, develop and manage shop-floor teams.
• Monitor operator performance and handle basic workplace/IR matters.

Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.
• 3 to 5 years experience as a Production or Shop-Floor Supervisor in automotive manufacturing or high-volume metal fabrication.
• Strong exposure to stainless steel processing, bending, welding and powder coating.
• Experience with MES/ERP systems such as SAP or Syspro.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or 5S certification advantageous.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
