An exciting opportunity has become available for a Property Accountant to join a well-established organisation within the property sector in Santon. This role is ideal for a finance professional with property accounting experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, analytical thinking, and strong financial controls are essential.

Duties:

Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes
Monitor and analyse property income, expenses, and budget variances
Assist with budgeting and forecasting for property portfolios
Prepare journals, accruals, and provisions
Reconcile tenant accounts and property-related transactions
Ensure compliance with financial controls and accounting procedures
Assist with audit preparation and external audit requirements
Analyse financial performance and provide commentary on variances
Support cash flow monitoring and reporting requirements
Assist with ad hoc reporting and finance-related projects

Qualifications & Skills:

BCom
1–2 years' property accounting experience
Retail property experience highly advantageous
Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
