Personal Assistant / Procurement Administrator – Manufacturing – Amanzimtoti

POSITION INFO:
Our client, a leading Manufacturer of Disposable Sanitary and Personal Care Products, is currently looking for a Personal Assistant / Procurement Administrator to join their team in Amanzimtoti

The successful candidate must come from a manufacturing environment and will provide administrative support while assisting with procurement, supplier liaison, purchase requisitions and general office coordination.

Remuneration: R10 000 -R15 000 no benefits

Requirements

Matric essential.
Previous PA / Administration experience.
Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment is essential.
Exposure to procurement, purchasing or supplier administration.
Experience dealing directly with suppliers and purchase requisitions.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Basic knowledge of Pastel/Sage advantageous – training can be provided.
Exposure to shipping, imports/exports or logistics would be an advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Professional telephone manner and office etiquette.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow up proactively.
Able to work independently and manage multiple administrative priorities.

Ideal Background
Candidates coming from FMCG, personal care, hygiene products, packaging, plastics, paper/tissue, food manufacturing, chemical manufacturing or other fast-paced manufacturing environments would be well suited to the role.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day PA and administrative support to management.
Handle general correspondence, documentation, filing and office administration.
Assist with procurement and purchasing administration.
Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, orders and deliveries.
Process and manage purchase requisitions from various departments.
Obtain quotations and assist with comparing supplier pricing.
Follow up on outstanding orders and deliveries.
Maintain accurate procurement and supplier records.
Capture and update information on internal systems and spreadsheets.
Assist with basic Pastel/Sage functions – training will be provided.
Assist with shipping and logistics administration where required.
Maintain professional communication with suppliers, clients and internal departments.
Ensure a high standard of office etiquette, confidentiality and professionalism.
