POSITION INFO:
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a high-performing Shared Services environment.

If you have extensive high-volume payroll experience, exceptional Excel skills, and a thorough understanding of South African payroll legislation, this role offers the chance to play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and in full compliance with legislative requirements.

This role is based in Springs, Johannesburg East.

Key Responsibilities:

Process and administer high-volume payroll accurately and within deadlines.
Review payroll inputs, leave transactions, and payroll variances before final processing.
Validate resignations, dismissals, and final salary payments.
Review and approve interim payments.
Prepare month-end payroll reconciliations and reports.
Reconcile payroll data to third-party vendors and resolve reconciling items.
Ensure payroll records and documentation are accurately maintained.
Distribute payslips and payroll reports to relevant stakeholders.
Support and guide Payroll Clerks and business units on payroll processes.
Test payroll system updates, legislative changes, and new cost components.
Investigate and resolve payroll queries within agreed service levels.
Liaise with internal stakeholders, ICT, and third-party service providers.
Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, company policies, and statutory requirements.
Participate in payroll improvement initiatives and projects.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Matric
Payroll or Finance qualification will be advantageous.
Minimum 8 years' payroll administration experience.
Strong knowledge of BCEA, PAYE, UIF, SDL, and South African payroll legislation.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (essential).
Experience using JDE and Educos Payroll systems is advantageous.
Strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
HR and Personnel Administration knowledge will be beneficial.
