Chef de Partie – Pastry Focus

We celebrate South African heritage cuisine with a modern farm-to-fork twist, set within a beautifully restored Cape Dutch building and cellar. Guests enjoy bold, flavourful dishes paired with estate wines, in an atmosphere that is both convivial and refined.
We are looking for a talented Senior Chef de Partie with strong pastry expertise to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a chef who is passionate about creating exceptional desserts, breads, and pastry elements that elevate a seasonal, wine-led menu.

POSITION INFO:
What You’ll Do:

Lead and manage the pastry section, ensuring excellence in breads, desserts, and plated sweets.
Contribute to menu development, bringing creativity and precision to seasonal pastry offerings.
Maintain consistency, quality, and artistry in every pastry component.
Mentor and guide junior chefs in pastry skills and techniques.
Work seamlessly with the wider kitchen team to deliver a refined dining experience.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a fine dining or refined restaurant environment.
Demonstrated expertise in pastry and bread-making, with creativity in plated desserts.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
A team-oriented mindset with a passion for heritage-inspired, modern cuisine.
