The Role: PBX Service Controller

The PBX Service Controller logs, prioritises, and monitors service calls to ensure jobs are completed promptly. The role contributes to the business by keeping clients updated, managing fault escalations, and maintaining accurate service records. Main focus areas include scheduling technicians, liaising with suppliers and internal departments, and preparing basic service reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Log, prioritise, and monitor all PBX service calls.

• Schedule and coordinate technicians to ensure open jobs are completed promptly.

• Keep clients updated on the progress of their service requests.

• Liaise with technicians, suppliers, and internal departments.

• Manage escalations and urgent faults.

• Ensure job cards and service records are accurate and complete.

• Prepare basic service reports and identify recurring issues.

• Work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

About You

• Previous service controller or coordination experience.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• Good telephone manner and customer service skills.

• Computer literate and comfortable using service-management systems.

• Attention to detail and the ability to follow through on tasks.

• PBX or telecommunications experience (advantageous).

• Nucleus (formerly xBPO) experience (advantageous).
