SUMMARY:
Job Title: Night Manager
Location: Camps Bay, Cape Town

Hospitality Hire is recruiting for an experienced Night Manager on behalf of a prestigious 5-star boutique hotel in Camps Bay.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in an independent leadership role. As the senior manager on duty overnight, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel, delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining security standards, and handling all overnight hotel operations with professionalism and efficiency.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)
Hospitality qualification or diploma advantageous
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Night Manager, Duty Manager or Front Office Supervisor within a 4 or 5-star hotel
Boutique hotel experience highly advantageous
Strong working knowledge of Opera PMS or a is essential
Excellent understanding of front office procedures, night audit, cash handling and hotel operations
Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and guest relations skills
Well-presented, professional and service-driven
Must be able to work permanent night shifts, weekends and public holidays
Valid South African ID or valid work permit

Key Responsibilities

Manage all overnight hotel operations and ensure seamless service delivery
Complete the night audit accurately and reconcile daily revenue
Oversee front office operations including arrivals, departures and guest requests
Handle guest complaints and emergency situations professionally and efficiently
Ensure the safety and security of guests, staff and hotel property throughout the night
Conduct regular property inspections and ensure operational standards are maintained
Prepare management reports and handover documentation for the morning team
Monitor cash handling procedures and ensure financial controls are followed
Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance and security teams to resolve overnight operational issues
Maintain the highest standards of guest service expected within a luxury boutique hotel

We are looking for a mature, proactive and guest-focused hospitality professional who is comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the hotel during the night shift. The successful candidate will be calm under pressure, highly organised, and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest operational standards.
