About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and personable Medical Receptionist to become an integral part of our client’s healthcare team. This front-line role requires someone who is highly organised, professional, and committed to delivering excellent service to patients and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for all walk-in patients and visitors, delivering a warm and professional welcome.
• Manage the switchboard by answering and directing incoming calls, and accurately taking and relaying messages.
• Capture patient information efficiently and accurately using the medical billing system.
• Provide general administrative and clerical support to the medical team, including filing, scanning, and handling correspondence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a medical receptionist or medical administrative role (essential).
• Education: Matric / Grade 12 certification (required).
• Transport: Valid driver’s license and access to own reliable vehicle (required).

Technical Skills:

• Proficient computer literacy.
• Typing speed of 35–45 words per minute.
• Familiarity with medical software or billing systems (advantageous).
