SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Maintenance Controller to be based on the East Rand, in Kempton Park. We are looking for a hands-on, technically strong professional to oversee and co-ordinate all maintenance operations, ensuring maximum equipment availability, plant efficiency, and compliance.

POSITION INFO:
Successful incumbent will have a completed Engineering qualification / Trade Test Certificate, coupled with 5-10 years experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing sector. Proven experience in MSOffice, SCADA and SAP essential as well as knowledge of the OHS Act with proven supervisory management and job planning experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and manage preventative maintenance programs
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and work instructions
- Lead root cause failure analysis to minimize breakdowns
- Oversee plant shutdown planning and execution
- Manage maintenance work orders and preventative plans on SAP
- Supervise, train, and support maintenance teams
- Ensure safety, statutory, and ISO compliance
- Manage maintenance budgets and cost-saving initiatives
- Coordinate contractors and planned projects
- Implement new equipment and technologies to improve productivity

Requirements:
â Strong maintenance and engineering background
â Proven experience in plant maintenance and shutdown planning
â SAP maintenance systems experience
â Strong leadership and people management skills
â Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting ability
â Knowledge of safety and ISO compliance standards
