POSITION INFO:

 MOTOR VEHICLE TECHNICIAN - LUXURY DEALERSHIP 

Our client is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented and technically proficient Motor Vehicle Technician to repair and service luxury vehicles in Fourways!

•  Location: Fourways, Gauteng
•  Salary: Market Related

Essential Qualifications:

•  National Senior Certificate (essential)
•  Red Seal Trade Certificate (essential)
•  3+ years’ experience as a motor vehicle technician (luxury vehicles)
• Own set of tools

Essential Experience:

•  3+ years in a motor vehicle technician role
•  Diagnostic equipment (scanners, multimeters, code readers)
•  Electrical systems including wiring diagrams and CAN bus networks
•  Mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, brakes and suspension

Key Responsibilities:

•  Repair and service vehicles to manufacturer''s standards and specifications
•  Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults
•  Establish and order correct parts required for each job
•  Obtain foreman authorisation before carrying out any additional work
•  Complete job cards accurately including cause and correction
•  Record time on timesheets promptly after work is completed
•  Maintain own hand tools in good working order
•  Keep work area safe, clean and tidy at all times
•  Keep customer vehicles clean using seat and fender covers
•  Correctly bag, tag and return all old parts as required
•  Book all oils and consumables onto the job card
•  Report faulty or broken equipment to the Foreman promptly
•  Ensure no private property is removed from customer vehicles
•  Mentor and guide apprentices/learners on correct work procedures
•  Maintain cordial relationships with all workshop staff
