Junior Imports Controller

POSITION INFO:
An established organisation within the imports and logistics sector is seeking a motivated Junior Admin Imports Controller to join its team in Kliprivier, Meyerton. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious junior professional looking to gain practical experience within a fast-paced environment and develop a strong foundation in international trade and supply chain operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparing and managing import documentation, including purchase orders, shipping documents and customer declarations
• Support the import compliance process by ensuring documentation meets relevant regulatory requirements
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and customs brokers regarding shipment progress and documentation
• Assist with monitoring incoming shipments and ensuring relevant information is captured accurately
• Update inventory records and assist with reconciling stock received against documentation
• Assist with monitoring and managing import-related costs
• Prepare reports relating to import expenses and shipment costs
• Process GVRs accurately and timeously

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade or a related field would be advantageous
• 1–2 years’ relevant experience
• Previous experience within freight, shipping, imports or logistics will be advantageous
