Junior Financial Planner

Location: Woodmead, Johannesburg
Employment Type: Permanent
Work Arrangement: On-site, with hybrid work available after successful completion of the 6-month probation period
Salary: R15,000 CTC per month

Introduction:

Our client is a reputable and independent financial services provider with over 30 years of experience in the industry. The business provides independent financial advice and tailored solutions, with a strong focus on long-term client relationships, trust, integrity, compliance and exceptional service.

Additional Information:

The successful candidate will earn a monthly salary of R15,000 for the first 18 months. Thereafter, the existing client portfolio will be handed over to the candidate, and the role will transition to a 100% commission-based structure. Commission will be split equally, with 50% allocated to the business and 50% paid to the candidate.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Identify and acquire new clients through networking, referrals and business development activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
Provide ongoing financial advice and support to an allocated client portfolio.
Conduct client needs analyses and develop tailored financial plans.
Present appropriate financial solutions based on clients' needs and circumstances.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
Ensure all client interactions and advice comply with FAIS requirements and applicable financial sector legislation.
Remain informed of changes to financial regulations, legislation and financial products.
Deliver a consistently high standard of professional and ethical client service.

Minimum Requirements

BCom Degree in Finance or a related field.
Successful completion of RE5 as required under FAIS legislation.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong client-service orientation.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
A proactive approach to business development and client engagement.
