JOB CONTEXT:
We are seeking a dynamic Junior Chartered Accountant CA(SA) to lead our financial operations. This pivotal leadership role will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, audits, supply chain finance, procurement and compliance, while delivering strategic insights that support executive decision-making and drive sustainable growth. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record in financial management, preferably within the engineering or manufacturing sectors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Strategy & Planning

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.
• Advise the CEO and executive team on financial performance and risk.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Lead internal and external audit processes.

• Manage the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts.
• Monitor budget variances and implement corrective actions.

• Oversee financial aspects of procurement, inventory, and logistics.
• Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize cost efficiency.

• Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital.

• Lead and mentor finance staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.

• Drive automation and efficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.

• Strong proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Deep understanding of IFRS, tax legislation, and audit procedures.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and results-driven mindset.

• CA(SA) – Essential.
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in financial management.
• Experience in the engineering, manufacturing, or industrial sectors – highly advantageous.
• Proven track record in supply chain finance, auditing, and financial reporting.

• Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, applicable experience, and previous earnings.
