SUMMARY:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Junior Bookkeeper to join our finance team in George. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in bookkeeping and accounting, with the ability to manage daily financial processes and ensure accurate record-keeping. Experience with Golf Club finances and knowledge of the Clubmaster system will be advantageous.

POSITION INFO:
Description:

Manage daily bookkeeping functions including capturing, reconciling, and maintaining financial records.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Assist with payroll preparation and statutory submissions.
Reconcile bank statements and prepare monthly financial reports.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Handle cashbook entries and petty cash management.
Assist in financial audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
Provide financial administrative support to management.

Requirements:

Relevant bookkeeping/accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a hospitality, golf club, or membership-based environment.
Knowledge of the Clubmaster system (advantageous).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, organized, and able to manage deadlines.
Work one weekend per month to support club operations.
