SUMMARY:
Company situated in the Germiston area urgently seeking a Junior Supply Chain Assistant to support the Supply Chain Manger with purchasing, inventory control, stock management and general administration. A background in Creditors or Accounts Payable will be advantageous but not essential.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Place and capture local buyout orders.
Capture local and import purchase orders in SYSPRO and send them to suppliers.
Book local and imported goods received in SYSPRO.
Follow up outstanding supplier orders and communicate updates to the sales team.
Process daily branch stock transfers.
Maintain and update default bin locations.
Capture replenishment reports in SYSPRO.
Assist with inventory administration and stock control.
Assist with annual stock take planning and execution.
Arrange inter-branch stock transfers requested by Sales.
Support the Supply Chain Manager with day-to-day operational activities.
Assist with general administrative duties within the department.
Provide support to other departments when required.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric)
1-3 years'' experience in administration, procurement, logistics, supply chain or a
similar role
Creditors/Accounts Payable experience will be advantageous
Experience with SYSPRO or another ERP system will be advantageous
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Eager to learn and develop within the Supply Chain environment
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
