Junior Supply Chain Assistant

POSITION INFO:
Qualification

Matric / Senior Certificate
Diploma or Certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement or Finance (advantageous)

Requirements

1-3 years' experience in administration, procurement, logistics, supply chain or a similar role
Valid drivers license
Experience with SYSPRO or any another ERP system.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Eager to learn and develop within the Supply Chain environment
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Creditors/Accounts Payable experience will be advantageous
Eager to learn and grow within Supply Chain.
Highly organised and detail-oriented.
Reliable, honest and trustworthy.
Proactive with a willingness to take initiative.
A positive team player with a strong work ethic.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Committed to delivering high-quality work.

Duties

Place and capture local buyout orders.
Capture local and import purchase orders in SYSPRO and send them to suppliers.
Book local and imported goods received in SYSPRO.
Follow up outstanding supplier orders and communicate updates to the sales team.
Process daily branch stock transfers.
Maintain and update default bin locations.
Capture replenishment reports in SYSPRO.
Assist with inventory administration and stock control.
Assist with annual stock take planning and execution.
Arrange inter-branch stock transfers requested by Sales.
Support the Supply Chain Manager with day-to-day operational activities.
Assist with general administrative duties within the department.
Provide support to other departments when required.
