IT Manager - Manufacturing

You will be required to plan and budget for all aspects of IT operations including cybersecurity, auditing, hardware, software, upgrades, disaster recovery, telephony systems, data providers and electrical supply continuity to critical infrastructure.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric (Essential)
• Post Matric qualification in IT diploma/degree
• More than 5 years of proven experience in the management of people, systems concepts, and methodologies.
• Solid computer hardware, software and networking experience across Windows servers, SQL Server databases
• Experience in VPN''s, cloud and online web services, remote software management, firewalls, and general IT security.
• Overseeing and implementing cybersecurity and data governance and manufacturing IT services
• Printing systems and large-scale printers and the management thereof.
• A diverse network encompassing local and remote hardware and software, virtualization, and some light use of MacOS
• A complex mix of network switches wired and wireless routers, UPS/generators and the maintenance and testing thereof in a medium-sized business.
• MS-Office (intermediate on all packages)
• Office 365
• ERP System experience (Syspro Advantageous)

Key Performance Areas

• Lead efforts to improve IT processes.
• Develop and manage high-level information Security and ICT Business Continuity solutions.
• Ensure that the IT user''s computer equipment and IT infrastructure/network perform
• Constantly train users on new systems or software applications
• Provide support to network users and escalate to service providers
• Perform backups and recoveries when needed
• Managing software licenses and service providers
• Analysing and assessing annual budgets IT related
• Developing and evaluating system improvements
• Data Protection
• Maintain/repair hardware
• Allocate new/used equipment
• Manage updates and upgrades
• Document problems and improvements
• First level Networking support
