POSITION INFO:

Overview

Our client in the construction industry is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their team.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric certificate
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a payroll environment
Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel
Own reliable transport

Job Responsibilities

Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of payroll data before processing
Track received data and source documents and follow up on outstanding information
Maintain attendance system
Generate payroll reports as required
Assist with month-end payroll processes, employment equity data and audit documentation
Support HR operations including onboarding, terminations, recruitment and labour inspections
Manage ongoing staff development and training
Assist in the development, review and implementation of policies and procedures
Assist with internal disciplinary enquiries and grievance hearings
Additional Responsibility -- Assist with any other administrative task when time permits

Key Competencies / Skills

Strong planning, organising and attention-to-detail skills
High level of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism
Good written and verbal communication skills in English. isiXhosa is advantageous
Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
