SUMMARY:
Are you an experienced HR Officer who enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment?

POSITION INFO:
A leading organisation is looking for an HR Officer to join their team on a 6-month contract. This role will provide frontline HR support, ensuring effective service delivery, accurate employee records and compliance with company policies and South African legislation.

Key Responsibilities:
HR Administration & Support

Act as the first point of contact for employee HR-related queries
Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures and processes
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
Manage employee movements, including new appointments, transfers, promotions and terminations
Ensure all employee documentation and approvals are completed accurately
Support onboarding and offboarding processes
Prepare employment offers and relevant documentation
Maintain job descriptions and employee documentation
Track probation periods and follow up with line managers where required
Facilitate exit interviews and manage the exit process
Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information

Employee Relations & Compliance

Assist with basic employee relations matters, including absenteeism and performance-related issues
Support disciplinary processes through accurate documentation and administration
Escalate complex employee relations matters to the relevant senior HR stakeholders
Stay up to date with relevant South African labour legislation
Ensure HR practices align with BCEA, LRA, EEA, OHSA and POPIA requirements

Reporting & HR Metrics

Collect and compile HR data and reports
Maintain accurate HR records and employee information
Assist with exit data and employee-related reporting
Provide information and insights to support HR decision-making

Job Experience and Skills Required:
National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or a related field
2 - 4 years' experience in Human Resources / HR Administration
Good understanding of South African labour legislation
Strong HR administration experience
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
