Guide & Admin Assistant Couple

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a capable, committed and professional Guide & Admin Assistant Couple to join the team in a live-in capacity.
The successful couple will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the property, with one partner primarily responsible for field guiding and guest experiences, while the other provides administrative and operational support.
Both individuals must be comfortable working in a guest-focused hospitality environment and be willing to assist across different areas of the operation when required. The ideal couple will demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, flexibility and a strong work ethic while living and working together in a bush environment.
Position 1: Field Guide
The Field Guide will be responsible for providing safe, professional, informative and memorable wildlife experiences to guests.
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct guided game drives and other guest activities as required.
• Provide engaging and accurate information on wildlife, ecology, conservation and the surrounding environment.
• Ensure the safety, comfort and enjoyment of guests at all times.
• Deliver a professional and personalised guest experience.
• Assist with the preparation, cleaning and maintenance of guiding equipment and vehicles.
• Conduct appropriate pre- and post-drive checks.
• Maintain professional relationships with guests and colleagues.
• Report safety, maintenance, wildlife or operational concerns to management.
• Assist with lodge operations and general duties when reasonably required.
• Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and professional conduct.
• Uphold the property's safety, conservation and guest-service standards.

• Perform general administrative and office duties.
• Maintain accurate records, filing systems and documentation.
• Capture, update and maintain information accurately.
• Assist with correspondence, emails and general communication.
• Provide administrative support to management.
• Assist with guest-related administration and enquiries where required.
• Assist with stock control, purchasing and supplier administration.
• Maintain organised records of invoices, orders and other operational documentation.
• Coordinate information between management, suppliers and different areas of the operation.
• Assist with scheduling and general operational coordination.
• Handle confidential information professionally.
• Assist with general lodge duties when required.

Field Guide – Requirements
Essential:

• Qualified Field Guide.
• Valid FGASA qualification.
• Valid DEAT registration/certification as required.
• Strong knowledge and passion for wildlife, conservation and the natural environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to assist with general lodge operations.

• Previous experience in a luxury lodge or safari environment.
• Additional guiding qualifications.
• Valid First Aid qualification.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Knowledge of the local area, fauna and flora.

• Previous administrative experience or strong administrative ability.
• Computer literate with good knowledge of standard office programmes.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Live-in position for a couple.
