Salary Range: R15,000 R19,000 per month (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

A long-standing plastic injection moulding manufacturer located in Atlantis, Cape Town, operating for over 25 years. The facility supplies various national and international industries, with machinery ranging from 450 to 2500 tonnes. The company is known for its commitment to eco-friendly manufacturing and full material recycling practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment across the production floor

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on high-tonnage moulding machines

• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform timely corrective actions

• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and repair records

• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure optimal machine performance

• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards

• Participate in shift rotations and respond to urgent maintenance requirements as needed

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent

• Red Seal Trade Test Fitter (preferred)

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in a high-volume manufacturing or industrial setting

• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

• Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

• Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team
