A Ford Diagnostic Technician specializes in identifying and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in Ford vehicles using
specialized tools like IDS (Integrated Diagnostic Software) and VCM3. They perform advanced diagnostics on engines, transmissions, and ADAS systems, interpret OBD error codes, and conduct comprehensive inspections to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
Advanced Troubleshooting: Using Ford-specific diagnostic equipment to pinpoint issues accurately. Repair & Maintenance: Performing high-level repairs on engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
Software & Coding: Utilizing tools like IDS/FDRS to update, program, and calibrate vehicle modules. Technical Expertise: Addressing technical service bulletins and warranty concerns. Documentation: Providing detailed reports and ensuring service meets manufacturer standards.
