We are seeking on behalf of our client, a highly skilled and motivated EV / Hybrid Technician to join a busy, Premium vehicle workshop environment. This role suits a qualified technician with strong diagnostics, dealership experience, and exposure to modern electric and hybrid vehicle systems.

You will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing EV, hybrid, and conventional vehicles to OEM standards. Working closely with the Foreman and workshop team, you’ll ensure accurate fault finding, efficient workflow, and high-quality, first-time-right repairs while adhering to strict safety and dealership compliance standards.

Remuneration:
R45 000.00 basic salary + company vehicle - Benefits including Provident Fund and UIF.

POSITION INFO:
Duties include

• Diagnose, service, and repair motor vehicles according to manufacturer standards
• Identify required parts and ensure correct ordering for job completion
• Report additional work requirements to the Foreman promptly
• Obtain authorisation before carrying out additional repairs or fitting higher-value parts
• Follow strict OEM technical specifications and workshop procedures
• Complete accurate job cards including detailed cause and correction notes
• Ensure all parts, oils, and consumables are correctly recorded
• Maintain high standards of vehicle care, cleanliness, and protection at all times
• Ensure workshop tools, equipment, and special tools are used responsibly
• Adhere to flat-rate time expectations and productivity targets
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
• Support apprentices/learners through guidance and practical coaching when required
• Maintain professional conduct and strong teamwork within the workshop

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an automotive technician in the motor industry.
• Minimum Level 4 Technician competency
• Red Seal Trade Certificate (Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician)
• Valid South African Driver’s Licence
• Computer literate (basic workshop systems / job card systems)
• Dealership experience essential (premium brand experience – (BMW, Mercedes Benz, Jaguar Land Rover, Audi)
• EV / Hybrid exposure advantageous and important
• Nearly EV/Hybrid certified with strong hands on experience (working toward qualification welcome to apply)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict turnaround times
• High attention to detail and adherence to manufacturer standard.
