Sales Representative: Industrial Tools 

Location: Nelspruit / Mbombela, Mpumalanga

Sales Region: Lowveld and surrounding areas

Key Responsibilities

• Market and sell industrial abrasive products, tools, and related services to existing and prospective customers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout the Lowveld region.
• Grow sales revenue and consistently work towards agreed sales targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial end users, resellers, and retail customers.
• Manage relationships with DIY, hardware, and industrial retail stores across the region.
• Conduct regular customer visits and maintain accurate call reports.
• Provide product information, recommendations, and practical sales support to customers.
• Follow up on quotations, orders, deliveries, product queries, and service requests.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and promptly address areas of dissatisfaction.
• Report customer complaints and non-conforming products or services to management.

Minimum Requirements

• At least five years of proven sales experience.
• At least five years of experience managing DIY and industrial retail-store customers.
• Sales experience within the industrial tools, abrasives, engineering supplies, hardware, manufacturing, or a closely related technical market is strongly preferred.
• Full professional bilingual proficiency in both Afrikaans and English is essential. Candidates must be able to speak, read, and write confidently in both languages.
• A demonstrated ability to generate new business and develop an existing customer base.
• Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Confidence in dealing with end users, resellers, retail-store management, and business owners.
• Working knowledge of sales techniques, territory management, and customer-development strategies.
• Experience using CRM systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
• The ability to work independently and manage a geographically dispersed sales territory.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• A high level of initiative, urgency, and attention to detail.
• A committed, dependable, and results-oriented approach.
• Residence in Nelspruit/Mbombela or the surrounding Lowveld area is strongly preferred.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel regularly within the sales region.

Remuneration and Benefits

• Basic salary of R4,000 per month.
• Sales commission linked to gross profit performance.
• Guaranteed earnings of R25,000 per month for the first six months.
• Negotiable vehicle and cellphone allowances.
