POSITION INFO:
Our client, an established manufacturer supplying products and solutions to the mining industry, is looking for a driven External Sales Consultant to join their team and manage key mining accounts across Lydenburg, Steelpoort and Belfort.

This is a field-based sales opportunity for someone who enjoys being out with customers, identifying new opportunities and building long-term commercial relationships. You'll work closely with mining companies and other industry stakeholders, understanding their requirements and positioning the right solutions to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop new business and grow existing customer accounts across Lydenburg and Steelpoort.
Build and maintain strong relationships with mining companies, contractors and key decision-makers.
Conduct regular client visits to understand requirements, identify opportunities and provide solutions.
Prepare quotations, proposals and sales presentations while managing the sales process through to close.
Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, forecasts and customer information.
Monitor market activity and collaborate with internal teams to ensure strong service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12); a relevant Sales, Marketing or Commercial qualification will be advantageous.
3–5 years' experience in external sales, preferably within a technical or industrial environment.
Proven experience in new business development and managing existing customer relationships.
Mining industry experience and an established network within the mining sector will be highly advantageous.
Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Valid driver's licence, willingness to travel extensively and a highly energetic, self-motivated approach to sales.
