SUMMARY:
Payroll & Human Resources Administrator
Randburg based
R30K-R35K, Medical Aid:  Discovery (exclusively), Pension

The Payroll & HR Administrator is responsible for providing the business with a solid best practice framework in order to look after the most valuable assets i.e. “the people.”  The Administrator is also required to ensure the smooth running of the payroll systems for South Africa, Makanyane, Botswana and Namibia and ensure that statutory requirements relating to human resources and payroll, are complied with.

HR is a strategic business partner and ensures that all Human Resources activities, practices, initiatives and the like, are aligned to support the Company strategy and business goals.
At least 3 years VIP Premier & HR experience
Diploma/Certificate in HR advantageous
Knowledge of BBBEE, BCEA, Employment Equity, Skills Act and the Labour Relations Act
IR and union experience advantageous
Understanding of payroll processes
Full knowledge of the VIP Premier Payroll System
Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities:
Assist managers and supervisors on all HR related issues
Collection and verification of all timesheets, leave forms, sick notes etc.
Monthly salary administration on VIP Premier
Assist with month-end procedures i.e., extraction of salary journals, reconciliations of medical aid, risk and pension. 
Assist with processes and policies related to remuneration and benefits
Applying for tax directives as and when needed
Assisting with Internal and Group reporting
Maintaining and submission of information on Employment Equity, with support from Senior Management
Manage the termination process
Consolidation and input of annual salary increases
Liaise with staff on admin queries, changes to medical aid, pension plans and payroll queries and ESS queries.
Assist with annual external audit, and Workplace Skills Plan.
Collection of data for timeous and correct submission of EEA2 & EEA4 data yearly
Assist with statutory compliance & reporting, e.g., SARS EMP201 monthly, submit monthly UIF returns and reconciliation and submission of bi-annual EMP501’s.
Ad-hoc HR duties as & when required
