Debtors Clerk (Centurion)

SUMMARY:
The Debtors Clerk will be responsible to keep record of the money owed to the Company and payments made. Need to determine which of the accounts are overdue and need to follow-up on payments. Carries out routine bookkeeping duties and is responsible for month end reports.

Qualifications and or Experience:

• Finance Degree/ diploma
• At least 3 years’ experience in finance
• Computer Literate – proficient in MS Office with advanced Excel Skills.
• Previous Financial software package experience essential

• Responsible to send out statements and or when required
• Follow up on outstanding debtors, credit notes, claims, refunds.
• Managing credit limits
• Send out Final demands
• Franchise fee invoices to be generated and emailed
• Processing credit notes and emailing them to customers
• Responsible for checking paperwork and balancing daily cash-ups (afternoon cash, morning paperwork)
• Responsible for managing Petty Cash expenditure, allocations journals and reconciliation
• Responsible to supply change to the Cashier
• Managing cash and paperwork for WAG and Properties petty cash
• Responsible for G4S money drop, prepare excel and present when collections are done
• Need to do daily banking (including customer refunds)
• Responsible to complete invoice filing from Reception
• Responsible to record invoice copies (orange) numbers daily
• Managing and ordering/purchasing groceries and cleaning material for office/warehouse

• Daily cash-ups
• Credit notes
• Invoices
• Petty Cash, etc.

• Maintain files.
• Maintain historical records by filing documents.
• Other project-based work that may be assigned from time to time.
• General administration when needed.
