SUMMARY:
A well-established school based in Pretoria North is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Debtors Clerk to join their administrative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full debtor’s function, ensuring accurate invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with parents and stakeholders regarding fee accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional with strong financial and organizational skills.

POSITION INFO:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the full debtor’s function, including billing and collections
Prepare and issue accurate invoices for school fees and related charges
Monitor and reconcile debtor accounts on a regular basis
Follow up on outstanding accounts and implement effective collection procedures
Allocate payments and resolve account queries efficiently
Prepare monthly debtor reports and age analysis
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Liaise with parents/guardians regarding account queries and payment arrangements
Assist with financial audits and provide supporting documentation when required
Ensure compliance with school policies and financial procedures

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

Grade 12 / Matric (a finance-related qualification will be advantageous)
3–5 years’ experience in a debtors/accounts receivable role
Proven experience with invoicing and full debtors function
Proficiency in Sage and Pastel accounting software (essential)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
