Alpha is seeking a Debt Recovery Specialist

Key Skills and Responsibilities

• Negotiation & Persuasion: Demonstrating the ability to handle objections, build rapport swiftly, and guide customers towards mutually agreeable repayment plans.
• Empathy & Active Listening: Identifying vulnerable customers, understanding the root causes of financial distress, and tailoring your approach accordingly.
• Resilience & Conflict Management: Maintaining calmness, professionalism, and composure during tense, defensive, or emotionally charged telephone conversations.
• Attention to Detail: Accurately calculating payment plans, keeping precise notes on customer files, and recognising discrepancies in financial information or statements.

Additional Duties

In this role, you will also be responsible for:

• Following up on payment plans to ensure adherence.
• Handling inbound and outbound telephone calls professionally.
• Making payment arrangements that suit both the customer and the organisation.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records.
• Where applicable, liaising with solicitors regarding live cases.
