Creditors Clerk

Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Creditors Clerk to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate processing and reconciliation of supplier accounts, ensuring invoices and payments are processed efficiently and within agreed timeframes.

Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

• Capture and process supplier invoices accurately.

• Match invoices to supporting documentation and purchase orders where applicable.

• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.

• Prepare supplier payments for approval.

• Maintain accurate creditor records and ensure accounts are kept up to date.

• Respond to supplier queries and resolve account discrepancies.

• Assist with monthly creditor reconciliations and month-end processes.

• Ensure invoices are correctly allocated and authorised.

• Maintain organised financial documentation and filing.

• Provide general administrative support to the finance department as required.

Requirements

• Previous creditors/accounts payable experience.

• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

• Good organisational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work to deadlines in a busy environment.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office.

• Previous experience in a retail, FMCG or multi-branch environment would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be dependable, organised and comfortable working with high volumes of invoices and supplier accounts. They should have a strong eye for detail, take ownership of their work and be able to work effectively as part of a finance team.
