SUMMARY:
A purpose-driven expedition organisation based in the Greater Kruger area is seeking a reliable and highly organised ðð¢ð¡ð¦ðð¥ð©ðð§ðð¢ð¡ ð¢ð£ðð¥ðð§ðð¢ð¡ð¦ ðð¦ð¦ðð¦ð§ðð¡ð§ to join their field team.

POSITION INFO:
This is a hands-on, live-in role supporting the wider operations team across logistics, kit management, administration and volunteer support, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor-based environment and enjoys building experience in field operations.

Core Criteria:

Highly organised, reliable and detail-oriented, with confidence maintaining accurate records
Strong administrative skills, with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Valid South African driver's licence with PDP (or willingness to obtain)
Valid First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
Adaptable and proactive, able to prioritise tasks and work independently while following direction
Good communication and teamwork skills
Fluent in English
Police clearance, satisfactory references and legal right to work in South Africa
Willingness to work flexible hours and live on-site
Experience in logistics, operations, project support or field-based programmes advantageous
Background in tourism, volunteering, conservation, youth work or outdoor programmes advantageous
Experience with stock, inventory, vehicles or equipment maintenance advantageous
Interest in community development, environmental work and social media an advantage

Candidate Responsibilities:

Support day-to-day logistics, planning and daily administration
Maintain kit and equipment inventories, coordinating maintenance and flagging damaged or missing items
Manage first aid and communications kit inventories, ensuring equipment readiness
Assist with transport, supplies and operational resource preparation
Maintain accurate operational records and support duty-manager reporting
Oversee day-to-day management of the organisation's social media presence
Support volunteer management, debriefs and training in delegated operational areas
Participate in morning meetings, briefings and debriefs to support operational continuity
Identify and escalate concerns relating to safety, safeguarding, welfare or conduct promptly
Step in across different operational areas as needed, solving practical problems in a changing environment

On Offer:

Salary: R12,000 â R15,000 per month (dependent on experience)
Live-in position
Accommodation and meals provided for approximately 9 months of the year while on expedition
Approximately 3 months annual leave, aligned with expedition cycles
Hands-on experience in operations and programme delivery within a purpose-driven, international organisation
Intended start date, 5 October 2026
