Purpose Of The Job:
 
Our client in the transport and logistics industry is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Workshop Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow, cost control, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Manage the overall workshop operations including scheduling, job allocation, and resource planning
• Ensure all vehicles and equipment are serviced, repaired, and maintained to the highest standards and in a timely manner
• Oversee the ordering and stock control of parts and consumables
• Maintain records of job cards, inspections, and maintenance schedules
• Coordinate with the transport team to ensure vehicle availability
• Supervise and guide workshop staff, including technicians and administrative personnel
• Monitor workshop KPIs and report on productivity, downtime, and efficiency
• Ensure health and safety compliance within the workshop environment
• Handle customer queries and ensure high levels of service delivery
• Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance workshop performance

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar workshop management role within the automotive, transport, or logistics industry
• Leadership & team management
• Technical knowledge of vehicles and workshop procedures
• Time management and prioritisation
• Problem-solving and decision-making
• Customer service orientation
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and workshop management systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Team leadership and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage workflow and improve operational efficiency
• Automotive industry experience is essential!!
