Purpose Of The Job:
Our client, a well-established Commercial and Passenger Vehicle Repair Centre, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Workshop Foreman to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing workshop operations, managing a large technical team, and ensuring high standards of productivity, workmanship, and efficiency. Previous panel beating experience is essential for this role.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

Provide guidance and direction to all staff members
Prioritize work order and assign appropriate shop staff
Maintain vehicle records and repair data
Responsible for inventory records of supplies and parts
Responsible for the professional development of all shop staff members
Practice safe work habits and use personal protective equipment as required
Routinely inspect all shop equipment and work area to maintain a safe environment for our employees
Review and approve completed work orders

Requirements:

Grade 12/Matric Certificate
Qualified Passenger / Commercial Vehicle Technician
Minimum of 8-10 yearsâ experience in same role as Workshop Foreman in an automotive, autobody environment
Panel beating experience ESSENTIAL!
Computer literacy
