THE ROLE

We are seeking a high-caliber Business Partner (Business Insurance) to drive strategic growth. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for planning and executing the pursuit of strategic commercial opportunities, cultivating key client relationships, analyzing market trends, and identifying growth segments for Commercial/Business Insurance products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Strategic Growth & Business Development: Monitor regional market trends, analyze sales data, and identify untapped commercial opportunities.

• Account & Relationship Management: Develop and execute customized relationship management plans for complex potential customer accounts. Build strong networks with key decision-makers and influencers.

• Tailored Consultative Selling: Analyze complex customer needs to present tailored solutions, product configurations, and commercial terms.

• Market Representation: Represent the business at key sector events to build brand visibility, enhance industry reputation, and gather strategic market intelligence.

• Client Retention & CRM Integrity: Manage top-tier client interactions, serve as a senior point of contact for complex queries, and ensure data integrity within the CRM.

• Compliance & Best Practice: Adhere to relevant regulatory codes, industry standards, and internal operational policies.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Compliance (Essential)

• Matric / Grade 12 (SAQA Accredited Equivalent).

• Full FAIS Accreditation (Minimum 150 Credits – Essential).

• RE 5 Regulatory Examination (Essential).

• RE 1 (Highly Advantageous).

• Full compliance with FSCA competency requirements (DOFA, Class of Business, and CPD where applicable).

Experience & Capabilities

• 3 to 6 years of proven sales and business development experience within the Commercial / Business Short-Term Insurance sector.

• Proven track record in complex account management, key stakeholder engagement, and tactical negotiation.

• Deep understanding of commercial buying influences, market dynamics, and customer needs analysis.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong commercial acumen.
