Bookkeeper (Part-time)

SUMMARY:
Are you a detail-driven accounting professional looking for a flexible part-time role? We are seeking a trustworthy and experienced Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant to manage the financial operations for a group of three privately held companies. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Afrikaans, computer-literate in Mac OS, and proficient with Xero. Approximately 2–3 days per week (flexible schedule).

POSITION INFO:

Full bookkeeping function for multiple entities using Xero
Prepare and submit VAT, EMP201, EMP501, and other SARS statutory returns
Generate monthly management accounts and monitor cash flow
Manage UIF, RMA, COIDA, and maintain compliance including Letters of Good Standing
Assist in preparing audit-ready accounts: reconciliations, trial balance, and liaising with auditors
Provide accurate, up-to-date financial reporting and ensure regulatory compliance
Assist with payroll, supplier payments, and general financial administration
Collaborate with or become familiar with vTiger CRM as part of operations

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ bookkeeping/accounting experience, ideally across multiple businesses
Strong working knowledge of Xero and South African tax regulations
Experience producing audit-ready financials and working with external auditors
Reliable, hands-on, and detail-oriented
Preference given to male candidates meeting the criteria
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Comfortable with Mac OS

Qualification:
Diploma in Finance/Accounting (or similar)
