SUMMARY:
BOOKKEEPER – MOTOR INDUSTRY OPERATIONS & ADMINISTRATION

Cape Town – Northern Suburbs: Our client, an award-winning dealership within the motor industry, is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to take responsibility for day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration, while also supporting selected operational and vehicle-related administration. The core focus of this position is bookkeeping, and candidates must have proven hands-on bookkeeping experience, preferably with Xero.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Managing day-to-day bookkeeping functions using Xero
Processing financial transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records
Performing reconciliations and ensuring financial information is accurate and up to date
Managing invoices, payments and general financial administration
Maintaining accurate financial documentation and records
Assisting with month-end bookkeeping and reporting requirements
Providing financial information and administrative support to management as required
Communicating with clients regarding documentation and outstanding information
Following up on outstanding applications and required documentation
Coordinating vehicle-related administration, including licence renewals and traffic fine management
Assisting clients with accident claims and coordinating related documentation and communication
Liaising with service providers, suppliers and insurers as required

Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12
Minimum 2–3 years’ proven hands-on bookkeeping experience
A bookkeeping / accounting qualification or relevant bookkeeping training
Practical Xero experience is essential
Sound understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial administration
Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
Excellent numerical ability and strong attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Valid South African driver's licence
Professional, reliable and hands-on approach
Proficient in English and Afrikaans
