POSITION INFO:
Our client is a well-established Mining and Minerals conglomerate, with Head Offices based in Johannesburg North. Stability, structure and long-term growth are part of their DNA and they’re looking for someone who values the same. As the Bookkeeper, you’ll play a key role in keeping the financial engine running smoothly, managing cashbooks, reconciliations, stock processes, forex transactions and month-end support. This is a hands-on role where accuracy matters, deadlines count and your contribution directly supports operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain SAP cashbooks for all bank and cash accounts, including reconciliations
Update and manage cash flow reporting
Process supplier invoices (local & foreign) and perform reconciliations
Manage forex transactions and monitor forward cover contracts
Process local payments, GRNs, stock adjustments, and costings
Prepare monthly stock count reports
Post month-end journals and perform balance sheet & income statement reconciliations

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Accounting Degree
Grade 12 (Matric) with good marks in Maths and Accounting
Minimum 3+ years’ accounting experience
Proven longevity - someone who commits and grows with a business
Strong Excel skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Fast learner with a positive, team-oriented attitude
Eager to learn, develop, and build a long-term career
