SUMMARY:
Our client is an expanding accounting and bookkeeping firm who work with American businesses providing highly skilled Accountants and Bookkeepers from South Africa. We are recruiting for experienced Bookkeepers to manage the daily accounting operations for multiple clients'' accounts, keeping them running smoothly.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate books: record daily transactions, reconcile bank/credit card accounts, and keep ledgers clean and up to date
• Manage accounts payable & receivable: upload bills, process payments, send invoices, and follow up on outstanding items
• Support monthly close: reconciliations, journal entries, variance checks, and preparation of client-ready reports
• Assist with payroll setup and processing
• Communicate with clients to answer questions, clarify transactions, and keep everything running smoothly
• Suggest process improvements and leverage tools or integrations to make workflows more efficient

Requirements
• At least 3–5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Experience with multiple clients or within an accounting firm (preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, basic reporting)
• Ability to manage deadlines across multiple clients with accuracy and attention to detail
• Clear and professional communication skills
• Comfortable working with modern tools (Slack, Google Drive, email, task managers)

Working Hours
This is a fully remote role. Working hours should start anytime between 11 AM and 3 PM SAST, then continue for a full shift from there. This schedule ensures overlap with U.S. clients.
