A well-established and highly respected retail organisation is seeking a driven and ambitious Assistant Financial Manager to join its Head Office finance team based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. This is far more than a traditional finance role - it is an opportunity to become a trusted partner to senior leadership while contributing to strategic initiatives that drive the business forward.
Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function, mentoring junior team members, and leading projects that improve processes, enhance efficiencies, and embrace automation. This position offers outstanding exposure to commercial decision-making, business transformation, and leadership development within a fast-paced, high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Head of Finance across financial and operational activities
Assist with month-end reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
Help drive strategic finance projects, including process improvements and automation initiatives
Mentor and support junior finance team members, encouraging collaboration and professional growth
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls
Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide meaningful financial insights that support decision-making

Job Experience and Skills Required:
BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification
Minimum 3 years' accounting experience
ERP System experience required
