SUMMARY:
My client based in Stellenbosch Technopark, is an established fruit exporter and they are looking for a Logistics and Financial Assistant to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a financial qualification and no experience is required.

POSITION INFO:
The Logistics and Finance Assistant supports the logistics and financial team by ensuring the accurate invoice verification and reconciliations. The role contributes to maintaining strong supplier relationships through timely payments, accurate documentation, and adherence to internal controls. By supporting day-to-day logistics administration and assisting with ad hoc logistics functions, the role helps ensure smooth operations, particularly during peak season.

Responsibilities:

Logistic Team Support:

Verification of costs and profitability during container loading.
Generation of Proforma invoices where required.
Support of ad-hoc logistics and operational duties.

Invoice Verification and Purchase Order Control:

Verify invoices against approved purchase orders.
Ensure all invoices are correctly matched before processing.
Follow up on missing or incorrect supporting documentation.
Ensure all invoices receive the required approval before payment processing.
Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding invoice queries.

Cost reconciliations:

Perform ad hoc reconciliations as assigned.
Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
Maintain supporting documentation for reconciliations and reporting.
