SUMMARY:
A large FMCG company boasting with an impressive national footprint seeks an Assistant Accountant to assist them with their year-end on a 4 months fixed term contract. This role will be based in Woodstock, Cape Town.

A large FMCG company boasting with an impressive national footprint seeks an Assistant Accountant to assist them with their year-end on a 4 months fixed term contract. This role will be based in Woodstock, Cape Town.

Duties include but not limited to:

Maintain IFRS-compliant Fixed Asset Register

Maintain Income Tax-compliant Tax Asset Register

Prepare income tax schedules for tax returns disclosure purposes for all entities

Administration of all foreign exchange contracts

Maintenance of petty cash

Update daily exchange rates

Prepare general journals

Other ad hoc accounting and administrative duties

Education:

BCom in finance or accounting

Skills & Experience:

3 to 4 years experience in a similar role is essential

Advanced MS Excel skills

Strong computer literacy

Financial and business acumen

Strong personality

Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment

Team player

Someone who are prepared to work extended hours when need be
