SUMMARY:
Finance Administrator / Accountant Assistant - Stellenbosch, Cape Town

POSITION INFO:
This position will suit an individual with an administrative background.

The successful individual will assist the admin department and Accountant with daily/weekly/monthly administrative tasks relating to creditors, debtors, recons, stock control (sales dept.) and other duties.

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 Certificate with Mathematics and Accounting subjects
Certificate or Diploma in Finance / Administration or similar will be an added advantage
Minimum 1 year Administrative experience
Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans
Motor dealership industry experience in a bookings Clerk position will be an advantage
Computer literate (MS Office)

Responsibilities:

Receive statements and consolidate with relevant invoices / orders
Ensure creditors’ statement matches with creditors reconciliation report
Assist with information for financial reports
Payment of creditors
Capture all creditors information (personal & Financial)
Reconcile bank account
Sending out unknown debtors to all frontline staff and managers
Follow up ALL on unknown allocations
Filling of bank reconciliations and bank statements
Process of payments
File payments in payment reference order per batch
Print all incoming invoices and get invoices approved and allocated by managers
Document entry of all invoices which has been signed off & allocated
Follow up on invoices not received back from various departments
Prepare EFT’s
Issue and process sundry orders
Follow up on outstanding debtors
Compiling and submitting of travel Claims
Make sure the Dt/Cr clearing account is clear
Ordering of stationary as required after authorisation was received
Assist with managing and processing of fines
Opening of AR and AP accounts
Debtors statement run
Assist auditors with any financial information required
Adhoc duties for Sales departments
