SUMMARY:
Assistant Accountant – Goodwood Salary: R20,000 per month Start Date: 1 December 2025

POSITION INFO:

A well-established business based in Goodwood is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records
Process invoices and prepare journal entries
Reconcile bank statements
Assist with monthly and year-end financial reporting
Maintain general ledger accounts
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Undertake additional operational duties as required by management

Minimum Requirements:

Accounting Certificate, Diploma, or Degree from a recognized institution
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position
Xero Accreditation Certificate (NON NEGOTIABLE)
Strong knowledge of accounting standards
Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans
Valid driver’s license
Hard-working, organized, and self-motivated with a high level of enthusiasm and initiative
Willingness to work longer hours when required and be available over weekends for a few hours if needed
