Airfreight Controller (Imports, Exports & Cross Trade)

SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Airfreight Controller to join out client's dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the full airfreight process from booking through to final delivery, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent client service.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate end‑to‑end airfreight operations (imports, exports, cross trade).
• Prepare and process documentation including AWB, declarations, transporter instructions, etc.
• Act as the primary client contact, providing updates, tracking information, and resolving shipment issues.
• Liaise with airlines, agents, handlers, and transporters to arrange collections, deliveries, and bookings.
• Manage internal costings, file registration, airline rate negotiations, and accurate invoicing via CargoWise.
• Apply strong knowledge of Incoterms, Customs, and import/export procedures.
• Ensure compliance with DRG and Part 108 requirements.

• 3–5 years’ airfreight experience (exceptional candidates with less will be considered).
• CargoWise experience is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Group A (previously CAT6) certification advantageous.
• Strong understanding of industry regulations and operational processes.

• Average of ±60 shipments / 30 tons per month.
• Handling approximately 300 emails daily.
