SUMMARY:
Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Student Administrative Assistant

Stipend: R6,500

Location: Gauteng (Germiston)

POSITION INFO:
About the role
The Student Administrative Assistant will support the daily administrative operations of the company. The role focuses on capturing company information, maintaining records,
assisting with financial follow-ups, and ensuring all documentation required for compliance, bookkeeping, and reporting is properly prepared and submitted.

Responsibilities:

Capture and update invoices, quotations, purchase orders, and company records.
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
Follow up on outstanding invoices via phone and email.
Maintain debtor tracking sheets and update payment records.
Assist with preparing documents for the bookkeeper (invoices, receipts, expenses).
Assist with submissions to the Furniture Bargaining Council and SARS.
Support payroll-related documentation submissions.
Assist with general office coordination and communication.

Minimum Requirements

South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
Matric.
Qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or similar.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Good communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information.
