SUMMARY:
A leading plastic packaging manufacturing company requires the above to manage and monitor all accounts receivable functions, ensuring the accurate recording of customer transactions, effective credit control, and timely collection of outstanding payments in line with company policies.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements for the role:

A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Previous experience working in an accounts receivable role or related roles is essential.
Proven experience with debtor factoring and managing accounts is preferred.
Must be proficient in SYSPRO ERP for financial and inventory management.
Must have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and reporting.
Must have strong accounts receivable and credit management experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing and monitoring all accounts receivable functions, ensuring the accurate recording of customer transactions, effective credit control, and timely collection of outstanding payments in line with company policies.
Processing and submitting credit applications and maintaining updated customer records.
Providing bi-weekly reports on outstanding balances to management.
Handling customer queries and resolving payment disputes professionally.
Monitoring outstanding balances and following up on overdue accounts.
Maintaining accurate debtors ageing and ensuring compliance with trading terms.
Processing credit notes and attending to daily account queries.
Investigating and resolving payment discrepancies and processing customer refunds timeously.
Ensuring adherence to approved credit limits and distributing monthly statements to customers.
Processing invoices, credit notes, and payments as well as processing forex-related documentation when required.
Assisting with annual audits and balance sheet reconciliations.
Preparing month-end reports and performing account reconciliations.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
